We have a few important team news.
1) A Place for Discussion
We created a team forum, where you can post your announcements, race results, and any other information you may want to share with the team. There are several different “boards” where you can post your topics. So DON’T BE SHY. USE IT, people.
To use the forum, go here. After you hit “Create Account” button on the bottom of this page, you will get an e-mail from “ProBoards” with an “activation key”. Use the Activation Key to complete your registration. Once registered, you can post away items in appropriate categories.
2) Team Picnic
We will hold our first annual team picnic in Central Park after the Team Championship race, starting around 11am, on Saturday August 4. It’s a potluck style lunch, so try to bring a dish, snacks, or a drink! For details and what you can bring please contact Rachana. And by the way, Rachana is our new Annual Events Coordinator.
3) New! Fashion Director
Lisa has been named team Fashion Director. Which means she would be posting information about our team apparel on our team forum. We’re confident that the our winter gear will not include pink tootoos.
4) New! Brunch Lady
Louise has been named team Brunch Coordinator. She will be posting information about team brunches on our team forum. We recommend all Agony members to try to come to the team brunch at least few times a year so that we can all get to know each other. It’s more fun if we know you!
5) Marathon Speedwork Class
Coach Alem's class has now been reconfigured to help you get faster for the 2012 ING New York City Marathon. There’s also a date change, and it is now on Wednesdays. Meeting place is still at Coach Alem’s hut, the Gazebo (90th/5th - Engineer's Gate). We can still leave our personal belongings inside his house during speed class.
Warm-up & stretching begins @ 6:30 PM, speed work begins @ 6:45 PM
